Evangelistic Department: Missionary Work Plan for 2018

Dear Leaders of the Unions, Fields, and Mission Fields, and members of the People of God, May the peace of God be with you all.

I greet you with a meditation from 2 Kings 7:9: “Then they said one to another, We do not well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king’s household.”

My dear brethren of the Christian family, the Lord has richly blessed us in 2017, and the year is soon coming to an end. As the New Year approaches, we are given a new opportunity to support the missionary work for our God. Now is the best time to awaken and make it our goal to share the good news of salvation with a world full of darkness. Just as the lepers brought good news to the city that was suffering from the Syrian siege, let us also bring hope to those who are under Satan’s siege.

God promises a unique experience to every Christian who works for Him by sharing the message of salvation. The servant of God gives us the following promise: “When the lost sheep was found, it was borne home with joy, and much rejoicing followed. This illustrates the blessed, joyful work of laboring for the erring. The church that engages successfully in this work is a happy church.” {2Ti 21.3}

Let us work together to rescue the lost sheep. Let us make our churches happy churches, full of enthusiasm for our Lord.

The General Conference Evangelism Department invites all Unions, Fields, leaders, Pastors, Bible workers, and members to join an active missionary plan for the entire church. In continuation, we will present some of the projects that are planned for the churches at a worldwide level:

1. Rescue Mission Project: This plan is composed of different activities that should be carried out in the churches and concludes with 4 evangelistic talks for the days from March 29 to April 1, 2018. These evangelistic lectures will be sent in video format to be shared in family groups, churches, and in small evangelistic campaigns.

2. Family Week for the month of May 2018. In coordination with the Family Department of the General Conference, a series of evangelistic lectures will be held. These lectures will both address families in the church and also seek to reach out to families looking for help in their family crises.

3. Children’s Evangelization. A complete program of children’s evangelization, to be held from August 12 to 18, 2018, will be sent out. The goal of the program is to minister to the children of the community and, through them, also reach their parents.

4. Massive distribution of flyers in the month of September, the Bible Month. In support of this project, a new flyer, promoting the Bible Study Course, will be sent out.

5. Global Evangelization “On the Way to the Heavenly Jerusalem.” Fourteen evangelistic lectures, to be held from October 28 to November 10, 2018, will be sent out in video format. They will feature a series of documentary videos about the city of Jerusalem, where Jesus developed His earthly ministry. Furthermore, they will also include a series of studies about the fascinating book of Revelation, which concludes with the promise of the city of God, the Heavenly Jerusalem.

The different programs will be sent out in various formats: in video, as PowerPoint presentations, and in text, just in case the videos cannot be shared. Instructions regarding preparation for these events will also be shared for each of these activities.

Let us make 2018 a different year; a year of service for our God. Join the missionary work in your church and you will receive the blessings of God.

May the Lord abundantly grant us His grace and power from on high.

Sincerely, Your brother in Christ,

Pastor Pablo Hunger

Director of the General Conference Evangelism Department
